I almost never bother with getting all books in a series in the same print so while a lot of my Wheel of Time books are Tor mass market paperbacks, I own a (rather battered) Orbit copy of The Fires of Heaven. Rand Al'Thor leads all the clans of the Aiel over the Dragonwall to hunt Couladin and his 160,000 Shaido. Today we begin a brand-shiny-new installment, The Fires of Heaven. Fires of Heaven is book 5 in Robert Jordan's epic fantasy Wheel of Time. The fifth book of The Wheel of Time is the first one (I don't know if it's the only one too) in the series to completely ignore one of the ta'veren -- Perrin doesn't appear in the book at all. In celebration of Jordan ;s work we have commissioned fourteen artists, each interpreting one of the Wheel . This book marks a shift in the tone of the series. The Wheel of Time: The Fires of Heaven. This is a world where ages come and go, where lives end and begin again, in accordance to the Wheel of Time and the Pattern of Ages. Something about dishonoring the one when you beat them or something. As you all know, I love the Wheel of Time. Well, I've just finished book five, The Fires of Heaven, and have just eight—nine? That's right, we are actually on the fifth book, you guys. "Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time." The Fires of Heaven The Wheel of Time Book 5 Author Acceptable. We get into the emergence of Matts awesomeness, my hatred of Luca Valan, the climactic scenes of every book and much much more. I'll have to go back and re- read that. I assume it's some weirdness with ji'e'toh.
